This treatment program was developed after consulting with patients dealing with the frustrations of Alpha Gal and realizing that typical medical care has little to offer them. Research led to an innovative treatment program developed by a Medical Anesthesiologist named Nader Soliman, M.D., in Maryland, called SAAT. Surprisingly, the treatment involved Medical Acupuncture. Specifically Medical Acupuncture applied to the ear. If you have never heard of ear acupuncture, don’t be surprised. The U.S. Military has developed a very successful ear acupuncture treatment called Battlefield Acupuncture that has been shown to be up to 70% effective in providing rapid pain relief for pain in various body areas. Ear acupuncture, also called “auricular acupuncture” was initially developed in France during the 1950s by a Medical Doctor, Dr. Paul Nogier. Auricular Acupuncture has been used successfully around the world for many decades to treat conditions including chronic pain, allergies, anxiety, hormonal and digestive issues, and more. In our office we have successfully used Auricular Acupuncture for decades to treat a range of conditions. We have used it very effectively to help patients with allergies for many years.

How to Improve on Success
Although the SAAT treatment program has helped many patients, newly developed treatment programs have certain advantages. Recently, an advanced Alpha Gal Treatment program has been developed that clinically tests blood levels of immune Ig-E levels to confirm accurate diagnosis and monitor response. A newer plan, NAAT, has been developed that incorporates components of both these successful plans intended to offer the patient the best long-term recovery. NAAT is the abbreviation for Neurological Auricular Acupuncture Treatment.
